Motivation to Becoming Healthier

Treat yourself ·  Allow endulgents ·  Talk to someone · 

From visualizing yourself thinner, treating yourself to something you wouldn't normally buy for yourself, to doing something that relaxes you. These are all important to the motivation process!
NOTE: There are three major things that are working against us "Stress," "Boredom," & "Depression" Keeping yourself motivated and treating yourself well can help to relieve these things that may be causing us to gain weight.


Everyone will agree that one of the most important things to have when sticking with an eating program to become healthier, is motivation! Here are some tips that might help:

Treat Yourself:

This is a very important step. There are many ways to treat yourself, but keep in mind that you should never use food as a treat especially now. Here are a few examples of some treats that you might use:
  • Flowers
  • Bubble baths
  • Music
  • Stickers
  • Rent a movie
  • Back massage
  • Makeup
  • A tie
  • Buy something that makes you relaxed

  • New Clothes
  • Fancy Journal book
  • Fancy Writing paper
  • New Hair cut or Hair Style
  • Facial
  • Shopping
  • Candle
  • Bath soaps
  • Go to the movies, park, or even to a play

Allow yourself small indulgences:

Staying strict on an eating program, is not always a good idea. If you are craving a taste of that chocolate cake that's calling your name, then let yourself have half of a slice or only one serving. It might sound like your blowing your eating all to bits, but really you are learning to control yourself.
